Pelican Valley ACC
Administrative Assistant

Site Location: Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church

This position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Publisher, Word and Excel, along with excellent people skills and the ability to handle a variety of tasks. With the knowledge the following responsibilities will be completed:

  • Produce the ACC Weekly Bulletin.
  • Update the parish census information.
  • Generate forms, flyers, envelopes/labels and certificates.
  • Maintain the weekly backup of server files.
  • Assist the pastor, staff, various groups, organizations, and other entities of the Pelican Valley ACC.18
  • Provide information needed each weekend to the nursing home Communion ministers.
  • Maintain welcome packets for new members and familiarize new parishioners with registration procedure.
  • Collaborate with the Welcome committee regarding welcome gifts, pictures and new parishioner bios for ACC magazine The Journey.
  • Prepare for baptismal celebrations.
  • Be present for parish staff meetings.
  • Coordinate parish mailing, as needed.
  • Make sure all messages are delivered and make needed phone calls.
  • Run copies or teach committee leaders to do so.
  • Generate information for various individuals and committees.
  • Assist the members of the parish and visitors.
  • Update the parish and ACC web site.
  • Maintain the church calendar.
  • Maintain the scheduling of the OLV campus.
  • Greet all visitors.
  • Record sacramental records and mail notices, both manually and electronically.
  • Email weekly lector materials.
  • Schedule and maintain Mass Intentions.
  • Handle incoming contributions and serve as a drop point.
  • Make sure that schedules and bulletins are available and current.
  • Keep member envelopes current.
  • Maintain Central MN Catholic Magazine subscription list.
  • Update bulletin boards regularly.
  • Distribute mail and messages.
  • Other duties as requested by the pastor or Director of Operations.

 

Direct supervisor: ACC Director of Operations

Hours are 8 a.m. to noon, Monday-Friday, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday

Wage: $18 to $22 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Full-time benefits available, including health insurance, retirement and vacation pay

Start date: Monday, Nov. 4, 2024 (target day)
