Typically at OLV, second grade students receive special instruction during their Elementary Faith Formation Wednesday afternoon classes to prepare them for making their First Reconciliation (Confession), and First Eucharist (Communion). Their First Reconciliation usually takes place the first Saturday in December, and First Communion sometime in April. If a child is close to second grade but somewhat older, they may join that class. For significantly older children, special arrangements can be made. 

There is an extra registration fee of $50 for students in the school year that they are taking part in these two important Sacraments.
